Leading Difficult Employees

In some cases, folks can be very hard to lead, for example, if they show a consistent style of bullying teammates. In such situations, the team is generally afraid of approaching the bully. In this situation, it is best to talk straight with the person regarding the issue, explain to them clearly how their style of communication is affecting the team. And then working with the person to help them change their style by providing them with clear feedback. And in some situations, working with the person to find other roles in the firm where they can possibly contribute better. If the efforts in solving personality issues don’t work, then a process has to be followed to document issues, put the employee on notice, and if the situation still doesn’t improve then terminate the employment with dignity.
